Copyrighted Material definition

Copyrighted Material or "work of authorship" means original expression that is fixed in any tangible medium of expression and subject to copyright protection under Title 17 of the United States Code as it now exists or as it may be amended. Under federal law, copyright subsists from the moment of the work's creation, although protection may be enhanced by registration with the United States Copyright Office. Works of authorship currently include:

Films, audiovisual works, slide programs, film strips; 8. Sound recordings
Copyrighted Material means all materials produced, authorized, originating from or otherwise created for the benefit of SAVVIOR, the Reseller and their sales representatives with respect to the Products, including, without limitation, all audio-visual materials, computer software, electronic files, graphic designs, web files of any nature, programming libraries other computer code, so produced, authorized, originated or created, all of which are deemed to be the exclusive property of SAVVIOR;

More Definitions of Copyrighted Material

Copyrighted Material. Subscriber agrees not to violate copyright law. Posting or receiving copyrighted material via email, list servers, ftp transfer, or any other electronic or digital means without permission of the copyright owner is prohibited. For the purposes of this provision, Provo is a third party beneficiary under this agreement. Provo City may require Service Provider to limit or discontinue service to any customer in violation of this agreement. Subscriber shall be liable to Provo directly, and Provo may obtain reimbursement directly from Subscriber, for damages for violation of this covenant, including enforcement and court costs, and attorney fees." Subscriber Agreement Availability. Upon request, Service Provider shall provide a copy of any and all Subscriber connection service orders and/or Subscriber agreements to Provo.
Copyrighted Material shall have the meaning that is set forth below in Paragraph 2.03.

Copyrighted Material. De Xxxx School District #73 requires instructional staff to be familiar with copyright law and to act ethically in the use of copyrighted material for instruction. Copyrighted material must not be placed on any system connected to De Xxxx Public Schools without the author’s permission. Users may download copyrighted material for their own use. Permission must be specified in the document, on the System, or must be obtained directly from the author. Illegal (pirated) software will not be allowed on the system under any circumstances.
Copyrighted Material means material which the rights to said material is exclusively owned by the legally controlling Party. Such material may not be placed on the Service without the written permission of the material owner or person(s) they specifically authorize. Unless otherwise and expressly agreed to by Client and Company, only the owner or such authorized person may submit copyrighted material to Company unless otherwise stated, the Client understands that proprietary applications and services developed by Company and offered as services to the Client which are NOT considered "portable," shall remain property of Company or their respective owner. The Client shall relieve Company of any and all legal litigation that should arise from dispute in the development of, usage of, or display of Client presentation information or information contained within the system for the purpose and benefit or on behalf of the Client. Company will not use or place copyrighted material other than such copyrighted material explicitly authorized for use by the Client in the Client’s presentation information or information contained within the system for the Client. Client shall not be liable for Company’s breach of the foregoing.
