Ping or “Pings” means “packet internet or inter-network groper” being a basic internet program that sends a packet of data to a designated Internet Protocol (IP) address and waits for a response, which will verify the availability of the connection to that address.
Ping means a utility to determine whether a specific IP address is accessible.
