Participating Transmission Owner definition

Participating Transmission Owner or “Participating TO” means an entity that (a) owns, operates and maintains transmission lines and associated facilities and/or has entitlements to use certain transmission lines and associated facilities and (b) has transferred to the CAISO operational control of such facilities and/or entitlements to be made part of the CAISO Grid.
Participating Transmission Owner or “PTO” means an entity that owns, operates and maintains transmission or distribution lines and associated facilities or has entitlements to use certain transmission or distribution lines and associated facilities where the Facility is interconnected.   • Seller agrees to abide by (i) CPUC General Order No. 167, “Enforcement of Maintenance and Operation Standards for Electric Generating Facilities”, and (ii) all applicable requirements regarding interconnection of the Project, including the requirements of the interconnected Participating Transmission Owner.

Participating Transmission Owner or “PTO” means any entity or entities responsible for the interconnection of the Project with a Control Area or transmitting the Energy on behalf of Seller from the Project to the Point of Interconnection.
