Municipal waste definition

Municipal waste means solid waste that includes garbage, refuse, and trash generated by households, motels, hotels, and recreation facilities, by public and private facilities, and by commercial, wholesale, and private and retail businesses. The term does not include special waste or industrial waste.
Municipal waste means waste from households, as well as other waste which, because of its nature or composition, is similar to waste from household;
Municipal waste means any garbage, refuse, industrial lunchroom or office waste, and other material including solid, liquid, semisolid, or contained gaseous material resulting from operation or residential, municipal, commercial, or institutional establishments or from community activities and which are not classified as residual waste or hazardous waste as herein defined. The term does not include source separated recyclable materials or yard waste.
