Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) definition

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) means household products in original containers properly sealed and intact, that contain corrosive, toxic, flammable, or reactive ingredients and the containers include one (1) or more of the HHW warning symbols, and include flammable or explosive products.
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) means any waste that exhibits any of the properties of dangerous wastes and is exempt from regula- tion under chapter 70.105 RCW, Hazardous waste management, solely be- cause the waste is generated by households. Household hazardous waste can also include other solid waste identified in the local hazardous waste management plan prepared pursuant to chapter 70.105 RCW, Hazard- ous waste management.
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) means any material generated in a household (including single and multiple residences) that would be classified as hazardous pursuant to the Illinois EPA.

More Definitions of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) means household products that could be hazardous to the environment or human health including paints, solvents, cleaners, household batteries, household amounts—five (5) gallons or less—of petroleum products, insecticides, herbicides, anti-freeze, car batteries, television tubes/screens, computer screens, fluorescent bulbs, including ballasts that contain polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and any other product produced for consumer use that could be hazardous to the environment. Household Hazardous Waste shall be defined as a Solid Waste, but shall be subject to special regulation and treatment pursuant to this Ordinance and Appendix A.
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) means household waste which, but for its point of generation, would be a hazardous waste under 6 NYCRR 371, including pesticides as defined in Environmental Conservation Law Article 33.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) means any hazardous waste generated incidental to owning, residing in, and/or maintaining a place of residence. Household hazardous waste does not include any waste generated in the course of operating a business at a residence.
