Financial Product Advice definition

Financial Product Advice means a recommendation or a statement of opinion, or a report of either of those things, that:
Financial Product Advice has the same meaning as defined in the Corporations Act. “Financial Services” has the same meaning as defined in the Corporations Act. “Financial Services Guide” has the same meaning as defined in the Corporations Act. “Financial Services Law” has the same meaning as defined in the Corporations Act. “Financial Services Licensee” has the same meaning as defined in the Corporations Act.
Financial Product Advice means a recommendation, a statement of opinion or an interpretation of information, or a report of any of those things, that:

  • General Financial Product Advice In our report we provide general financial product advice, not personal financial product advice, because it has been prepared without taking into account your personal objectives, financial situation or needs.

  • ASIC may suspend or withdraw the accreditation of an Accredited Adviser in a category of accreditation if ASIC has reason to believe that the person does not have the requisite skill, knowledge or integrity to provide Financial Product Advice of the kind covered by the relevant category of accreditation.

  • ASIC has no reason to believe that the person does not have the requisite skill, knowledge and integrity to provide Financial Product Advice of the kind covered by the relevant category of accreditation.

  • For the purposes of subrule (1), ASIC may approve, in writing one or more examinations that are relevant to Financial Product Advice of the kind covered by Rules 2.4.2, 2.4.3 and 2.4.4. Note: There is no penalty for this Rule.

  • For the purposes of paragraphs (1)(b) and (c), ASIC may approve, in writing, educational modules, subjects and reading materials that are relevant to Financial Product Advice of the kind covered by Rule 2.4.5. Note: There is no penalty for this Rule.
