Panchayat means an institution (by whatever name called) of self-government constituted under article 243B, for the rural areas;
EMMA means the Electronic Municipal Market Access system as described in 1934 Act Release No. 59062 and maintained by the MSRB for purposes of the Rule.
WADA means the World Anti-Doping Agency.
AT&T means AT&T Corp., a New York corporation.
WURA means the Winding-Up and Restructuring Act (Canada).
Becquerel (Bq) means the SI unit of activity. One becquerel is equal to 1 disintegration or transformation per second (dps or tps).
Swale means a shallow depression in the ground sloping to a place for disposal for the purpose of providing a method of drainage of surface water.
Tabarru’ means donation for the purpose of solidarity and cooperation among the Takaful Participants and to be used to help all Takaful Participants in times of misfortune. In the context of the Company, Tabarru’ will be allocated into the Participants’ Risk Fund.
Roentgen means the special unit of exposure. One roentgen (R) equals 2.58 × 10-4 coulombs/kilogram of air (see “Exposure” and 38.4(4)).
€STR means, in respect of any TARGET Business Day, the interest rate representing the wholesale Euro unsecured overnight borrowing costs of banks located in the Euro area provided by the European Central Bank as administrator of such rate (or any successor administrator) and published on the Website of the European Central Bank (as defined below) at or before 9:00 a.m. (Frankfurt time) (or, in case a revised euro short-term rate is published as provided in Article 4 subsection 3 of the ECB €STR Guideline at or before 11:00 a.m. (Frankfurt time), such revised interest rate) on the TARGET Business Day immediately following such TARGET Business Day;
Lloyd s” means the association of underwriters generally known as Lloyd’s which is incorporated by the Lloyd’s Act of 1871 (34 Vict. c21), passed by the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland;
LHSIA means the Local Health System Integration Act, 2006, and the regulations made under it, as it and they may be amended from time to time;
RAO means the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities) Order 2001 (SI 2001/544);
Managing Director means the Managing Director of the Food Corporation of India.

Lacquer means a clear or opaque wood coating, including clear lacquer sanding sealers, formulated with cellulosic or synthetic resins to dry by evaporation without chemical reaction and to provide a solid, protective film.
France means the European and overseas departments of the French Republic, including the territorial sea, and any area outside the territorial sea within which, in accordance with international law, the French Republic has sovereign rights for the purpose of exploring and exploiting the natural resources of the sea-bed and its subsoil and the superjacent waters;
DAS means digital addressable cable systems comprising of an electronic device (which includes hardware and its associated software) or more than one electronic device put in an integrated system through which signals of the network can be sent in encrypted form and decoded by the devices having an activated conditional access system at the premises of the subscriber within the limits of authorization made through CAS and SMS, by the cable operator to the subscriber on the explicit choice and request of such subscriber;
the Netherlands means the part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands located in Europe.

SA means the booklet that describes the Health Care Coverage provided to Enrolled Members. The Subscriber Agreement(s) applicable to the initial Rating Period are listed in Section III.

Diocese means the Catholic diocese in which the Academy is situated;
Marihuana means that term as defined in section 7106 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.7106.
PETE means polyethylene terephthalate, labeled by the SPI code #1.
