EMS medical director (medical director) definition

EMS medical director (medical director) means a physician licensed in New Mexico who is responsible for all aspects of patient care for an EMS system or EMS agency, including providing for or ensuring the medical control of EMS providers; the development, implementation, and evaluation of medical protocols; emergency medical dispatch; and oversight of quality assurance activities.
