Competing Business definition

Competing Business means any business, individual, partnership, firm, corporation or other entity which wholly or in any significant part engages in any business competing with the Business in the Restricted Area. In no event will the Company or any of its affiliates be deemed a Competing Business.
Competing Business means any business that, in whole or in part, is the same or substantially the same as the Business.
Competing Business means any entity (other than the Employer and its Affiliates) that is conducting business that is the same or substantially the same as the Business of the Employer.

Examples of Competing Business in a sentence

  • Competing Business Line shall also include businesses or business lines that may not be directly competitive with the Company in most respects (such as pharmacy benefit managers), but only to the extent I am engaged by any such business in a role: (a) that involves my performing Responsibilities for Competing Products or Services; or (b) where I would be called upon to inevitably rely upon or disclose Confidential Information and such reliance or disclosure would competitively harm the Company.

  • I agree that in the event I am offered employment at any time in the future with any entity that may be considered a Competing Business Line, I shall immediately notify such Competing Business of the existence and terms of this Non-Compete Agreement.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, employment with, or other provision of services to, an entity or other person that engages in a Competing Business shall not constitute the engagement by Employee in a Competing Business so long as Employee is not involved in activities constituting, and does not in any way assist or advise, directly or indirectly, a Competing Business.

  • Participant hereby agrees that during his or her Employment, and during the Covered Time (as defined below), Participant, alone or with others, will not, directly or indirectly, engage (as owner, investor, partner, stockholder, employer, employee, consultant, advisor, director or otherwise) in any Competing Business.

  • I agree that during my employment with the Company and for twelve (12) months after the termination of my employment (for any reason), I will not, directly or indirectly have Responsibilities with respect to any Competing Business Line.


More Definitions of Competing Business

Competing Business means the business of (a) developing, implementing, marketing and/or selling any Company Products or Competing Products or (b) developing, providing, performing, marketing or selling any Competing Services.
Competing Business means any business, individual, partnership, firm, corporation or other entity that provides the same or substantially similar products or services as those provided by the Company during the Executive’s employment, which includes, without limitation, the business of buying, managing, holding and selling medical office buildings.
Competing Business shall have the meaning set forth in Section 6.1 hereof.
Competing Business means any person or entity that provides services or products that would compete with or displace any services or products sold or being developed for sale by the Company during Executive’s employment, or engages in any other activities so similar in nature or purpose to those of the Company that they would displace business opportunities or customers of the Company, including, without limitation, Best Buy Co., Inc., Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Xxxxxx.xxx, Inc. and Target Corporation and any of their respective subsidiaries.
Competing Business means any endeavor, activity or business which is competitive in any material way with the Business of the Company worldwide;
Competing Business means any business, individual, partnership, firm, corporation or other entity engaged in the exploration for and development and production of oil and natural gas.
Competing Business means any business or enterprise which is engaged in (a) the equipment leasing business; or (b) any business, business segment or product line engaged in by the Company on the date of termination of the Employee's employment with the Company (clauses (a) and (b) collectively referred to herein as the "Company's Business").
