Competing Business definition

Competing Business means any person or entity that engages in a business that is the same as or substantially similar to the business conducted by the Company.
Competing Business means the business of (a) developing, implementing, marketing and/or selling any Company Products or Competing Products or (b) developing, providing, performing, marketing or selling any Competing Services.
Competing Business means any business, individual, partnership, firm, corporation or other entity which wholly or in any significant part engages in any business competing with the Business in the Restricted Area. In no event will the Company or any of its affiliates be deemed a Competing Business.

Examples of Competing Business in a sentence

  • During your employment with the Company and for a period of one year thereafter (the “Restriction Period”), you shall not, to the detriment of any member of the Company Group (as defined below), directly or indirectly, as an owner, partner, employee, agent, consultant, advisor, servant or contractor, engage in or facilitate or support others to engage in any Competing Business Line, or otherwise engage in Competing Services.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, Executive understands that this Section 11(b) prohibits Executive from acting for himself or as an officer, employee, manager, operator, principal, owner, partner, shareholder, advisor, consultant of, or lender to, any individual or other Person that is engaged or participates in or carries out a Competing Business or is actively planning or preparing to enter into a Competing Business.

  • During the Consulting Period and for one year thereafter (the “Restricted Period”), the Executive shall not, without the prior written consent of the Company, directly or indirectly, own, manage, operate, control, be employed by, provide services to, or otherwise participate in (whether as an owner, partner, shareholder, officer, director, employee, consultant, advisor, or in any other capacity) any Competing Business within the Restricted Territory.


More Definitions of Competing Business

Competing Business means any business that, in whole or in part, is the same or substantially the same as the Business.
