Check Off of Dues. Legal Aid will deduct from employees’ wages and turn over to the proper officers of the Union the membership dues and/or Agency Fees of such employee who individually and voluntarily certify in writing that they authorize such deductions.

  • SCC means the Special Conditions of Contract.

  • tender for income-generating contracts means a written offer in the form determined by an organ of state in response to an invitation for the origination of income-generating contracts through any method envisaged in legislation that will result in a legal agreement between the organ of state and a third party that produces revenue for the organ of state, and includes, but is not limited to, leasing and disposal of assets and concession contracts, excluding direct sales and disposal of assets through public auctions; and

  • rand value means the total estimated value of a contract in Rand, calculated at the time of bid invitation, and includes all applicable taxes;

  • Produced in the United States means, for iron and steel products, that all manufacturing processes, from the initial melting stage through the application of coatings, occurred in the United States.

  • Goods means all of the equipment, machinery, and/or other materials that the supplier is required to supply to the purchaser under the contract.

  • Site means the place or places where the permanent Works are to be carried out including workshops where the same is being prepared.

  • User means a person, department or other administrative unit of the City authorized by the Contract Administrator to order Work under this Contract;

  • Day means calendar day.

  • Imported content means that portion of the bidding price represented by the cost of components, parts or materials which have been or are still to be imported (whether by the supplier or his subcontractors) and which costs are inclusive of the costs abroad, plus freight and other direct importation costs such as landing costs, dock dues, import duty, sales duty or other similar tax or duty at the South African place of entry as well as transportation and handling charges to the factory in the Republic where the supplies covered by the bid will be manufactured.

  • Personal Information means information identifiable to any person, including, but not limited to, information that relates to a person’s name, health, finances, education, business, use or receipt of governmental services or other activities, addresses, telephone numbers, social security numbers, driver license numbers, other identifying numbers, and any financial identifiers.

  • Property means any interest in any kind of property or asset, whether real, personal or mixed, or tangible or intangible.

  • Applicable Law means all laws, statutes, common law, regulations, ordinances, codes, rules, guidelines, orders, permits, tariffs and approvals, including those relating to the environment or health and safety, of any Governmental Authority that apply to the Parties or the subject matter of this Agreement.

  • Software means computer programs, whether in source code or object code form (including any and all software implementation of algorithms, models and methodologies), databases and compilations (including any and all data and collections of data), and all documentation (including user manuals and training materials) related to the foregoing.

  • Contract Price means the price payable to the supplier under the contract for the full and proper performance of his contractual obligations.

  • Account is any “account” as defined in the Code with such additions to such term as may hereafter be made, and includes, without limitation, all accounts receivable and other sums owing to Borrower.

  • Business Day means any day except any Saturday, any Sunday, any day which is a federal legal holiday in the United States or any day on which banking institutions in the State of New York are authorized or required by law or other governmental action to close.

  • Code means the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.

  • Customer means the State agency or other entity identified in a contract as the party to receive commodities or contractual services pursuant to a contract or that orders commodities or contractual services via purchase order or other contractual instrument from the Contractor under the Contract. The “Customer” may also be the “Buyer” as defined in the PUR 1001 if it meets the definition of both terms.

  • City means the City of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

  • Documentation means SAP's then-current technical and functional documentation as well as any roles and responsibilities descriptions, if applicable, for the Cloud Service which is made available to Customer with the Cloud Service.

  • Service means the Internal Revenue Service.

  • Note means a promissory note made by the Borrower in favor of a Lender evidencing Loans made by such Lender, substantially in the form of Exhibit C.

  • Fair Market Value means, as of any date, the value of Common Stock determined as follows:

  • Disability means total and permanent disability as defined in Section 22(e)(3) of the Code.

  • Client means the Project lead of technical wing of the Purchaser for whose’ particular project the Goods / Services have been procured or any other person, duly appointed in writing, by the Client, for the time being or from time to time, to act as Client for the purposes of the Contract.

  • Board of Directors means the board of directors of the Company.
