Career Medical Officer definition

Career Medical Officer means a medical practitioner who is registered with the Medical Board of Australia and is not employed under the classifications set out in the Public Hospital (Medical Officers) Award.
Career Medical Officer means a Medical Officer who is employed and/or appointed to a position, not being that of a medical officer in training, in a hospital, who may be required to undertake such duties and at such places as directed within such hospital.
Career Medical Officer means a Medical Practitioner employed or otherwise contracted by a Healthscope Company to assist Accredited Health Practitioners in the care of Patients.

  • If a grading committee does not recommend progression by a Career Medical Officer to Senior Career Medical Officer then the committee must provide written reasons to why progression was not recommended, which should provide guidance in respect of any future applications.
