Common use of Use of Sick Time Clause in Contracts

Use of Sick Time. Sick time is for use when an employee cannot work due to an illness, injury, medical or dental appointment of the employee or their family. Except in cases of emergencies, medical and dental appointments should be scheduled in advance so as to create the least possible conflict with staffing requirements. The employee will give the Employer at least twenty-four (24) hour advance notice of such appointments, except in an emergency.
