Union Membership is Voluntary. Joining the Union and continuing or not continuing in membership shall be voluntary acts by any employee. The Engineer and the Union shall not interfere in any way with an employee's exercise of his right to be or not to be a member of the Union, nor shall they discriminate against any employee because of his membership or non- membership in the Union.

Union Membership is Voluntary. Joining the Union and continuing or not continuing in membership shall be voluntary acts by any employee. The Employer and the Union shall not interfere in any way with an employee's exercise of his right to be or not be a member of the Union, nor shall they discriminate against any employee because of his membership or non-membership in the Union. The membership dues deductions shall be made by the Employer for each Employee during the term of this agreement, unless the Employee revokes the authorization by written notice to the Clermont County Human resources department and the treasurer of the local Union in accordance with the Authorization card signed by the Employee or the Employee’s County employment terminates.

  • Union Membership Every employee who is now or hereafter becomes a member of the Union shall maintain membership in the Union as a condition of employment, and every new employee whose employment commences hereafter shall, within thirty (30) days after the commencement of employment, apply for and maintain membership in the Union, as a condition of employment, provided that any employee in the appropriate bargaining unit, who is not required to maintain membership or apply for and maintain membership in the Union, shall, as a condition of employment, tender to the Union the periodic dues uniformly required to be paid by the members of the Union.
