UNIFORMS AND UNIFORM MAINTENANCE. 1. The Borough will furnish all needed uniforms and equipment to newly hired officers, and thus no uniform allowance will be paid in calendar year one of the date of hire. In calendar year two (but not less than one year from the date of hire), newly hired employees will receive a uniform allowance of $500.00. For all officers in their third year and thereafter the uniform allowance will be $850.00 per year. Effective ' January 1, 2009 the annual $8so.oo uniform allowance will be eliminated and officers will be required to maintain their uniforms in accordance with the department regulations.

  • UNIFORMS AND TOOLS The Employer agrees to furnish and supply all its employees, without cost, laundered aprons and uniforms and such tools as are necessary in the discharge of their work and also service such tools at no cost to the employees.

The County shall determine the place where such clothing shall be cleaned and make disbursements directly to the contract cleaner(s).

  • Uniform Maintenance Allowance 22.1 The City provides uniforms or uniform allowance for employees represented by the Association. The City will continue to replace, repair and maintain uniforms worn in the line of duty. The average cost of the uniforms/uniform allowances are reported as special compensation (for those employees defined as “classic employees” by the Public Employees’ Pension Reform Act of 2013 for retirement calculation purposes and is currently reported as $17 per pay period.

  • WORK UNIFORMS Employees who are required to wear uniforms as a condition of employment shall be furnished such uniforms by the Appointing Authority. Proper maintenance of uniforms is an employee responsibility unless they are currently maintained by the Employer or unless required by statute or other regulatory agencies because of contamination (see Article 22).
