UAB Alternates Sample Clauses

UAB Alternates. The alternates shall replace permanent members of their own side whenever an appeal comes from a unit of which they are a member. The alternates, designated by the AAUP and the Administration respectively, shall represent units other than those represented by the original two (2) members, and shall replace them when an appeal comes from a unit to which the original members belong, so that no member of the UAB shall ever have jurisdiction over an appeal pertaining to his/her unit. Alternates may also substitute for regular members in cases of illness or unavoidable absence. Members of the UAB and alternates designated by the Xxxxxxx who participated in the formulation of the Xxxxxxx'x position on a particular matter that is before the UAB may not serve on the UAB in connection with its consideration of such matter. No member of the UAB shall sit on a case in which s/he has previously been involved nor shall a member of the UAB participate in a case for which s/he has submitted a written statement or recommendation, in which s/he has taken a position before an administrator or peer-review committee evaluating the case, or in which s/he has declared a position in regard to the individual under review.

  • Alternates Unless otherwise stipulated, all alternate bids are deductive. It is in the best interest of the public, and the intent of the Owner is, that the entire Project be constructed within the funds allocated in the Project budget. The acceptance of any deductive alternate will be utilized as a last resort to accomplish the Project without requiring a redesign and rebidding of the Project. Any alternate, or alternates, if taken, will be taken in numerical sequence to the extent necessary.

  • Alternate Facilities If under Purchaser’s Operating Schedule, roads needed for the removal of Included Timber differ substantially from Specified Roads, other roads may be added to A7. Contracting Officer shall assure that road routing, location, design, and needed easements will make such other roads acceptable as parts of the National Forest transportation facilities. Purchaser shall provide survey, design, and construction staking for such other roads. Based on design quantities from such engineering, Forest Service shall estimate Specified Road construction costs of alternate facilities, using methods consistent with those used in the original computation of the Schedule of Items. If Specified Road construction costs for acceptable alternate facilities are less than the estimated costs of facilities listed in the original Schedule of Items that Purchaser does not construct, Timber Sale Account shall be adjusted by Forest Service to reflect the reduction in costs. In event of rate redetermination under B3.3, such allowed costs shall be the redetermined estimated costs of facilities listed in the original Schedule of Items that Purchaser does not construct.

  • Alternate Work Schedule An alternate work schedule is any work schedule where an employee is regularly scheduled to work five (5) days per week, but the employee’s regularly scheduled two (2) days off are NOT Saturday and Sunday.

  • Agency Head or Designee If the grievance is not resolved at Step 1, the Association may move it to Step 2 by filing the written grievance with the agency head, with a copy to the Human Resources Office, within fifteen (15) days of the Association’s receipt of the Step 1 decision. Upon agreement of the parties, the agency head or designee will meet or confer by telephone with an Association xxxxxxx and/or staff representative and the grievant within fifteen (15) days of receipt of the Step 1 decision. Management will provide a written response to the Association within fifteen (15) days after the meeting and if the remedies are denied the response will include an explanation.

  • Alternate Duty (A) Where an employee is eligible for disability leave with pay under Rules of the State Personnel System as a result of an injury in the line of duty, and is temporarily unable to perform his normal work duties, the Agency Head or designee shall give due consideration to any request by the employee to be temporarily assigned substitute duties within the employee’s medical restrictions. This shall have no effect on the agency’s ability to make a different assignment based upon current medical opinion.

  • Union Observer ‌ The President of the Union or their designate may sit as an observer on a selection panel, including panel deliberations following selection tests, for positions in the bargaining unit. The observer shall be a disinterested party. This clause shall not apply to excluded positions.
