Type of Investments. Subject to the conditions set forth below, “Permitted Interim Investments” means the following types of investments:
Type of Investments. If the Member is a Client, it will have the opportunity to invest in some or all of the investments available from time to time on the Site. Each of these investments consists of equity securities (i.e., a Share or a Certificate as defined in the DFSA’s rulebook) (referred to by the Platform as "shares") in one or more businesses or arrangements (which we refer to collectively as a "business").
Type of Investments. If you become an investment-authorised member, you will have the opportunity to invest in some or all of the investments available from time to time on the platform. Each of these investments consists of equity, equity-like interests or other securities or instruments (which we refer collectively as "shares") in one or more cryptocurrency investments (which we refer to collectively as a "cryptocurrency"). In certain cases, these investments will be held through a nominee arrangement as described further in paragraph 7.2.

These shares will be represented as tokens using a process called tokenization which leverages distributed ledger technology. These tokens will be held in custody with a third-party custodian.

  • Sale of Investments Pursuant to Instruction, Investments sold for the account of the Fund shall be delivered (a) against payment therefor in cash, by check or by bank wire transfer, (b) by credit to the account of the Custodian or the applicable Subcustodian, as the case may be, with a Clearing Corporation or a Securities Depository (in accordance with the rules of such Securities Depository or such Clearing Corporation), or (c) otherwise in accordance with an Instruction, Applicable Law, generally accepted trade practices, or the terms of the instrument representing such Investment.

  • Scale of investment Upon a reasonable request by an Acquired Fund, the Acquiring Fund will provide summary information regarding the anticipated timeline of its investment in the Acquired Fund and the scale of its contemplated investments in the Acquired Fund.

  • Purchase of Investments Pursuant to Instruction, Investments purchased for the account of the Fund shall be paid for (a) against delivery thereof to the Custodian or a Subcustodian, as the case may be, either directly or through a Clearing Corporation or a Securities Depository (in accordance with the rules of such Securities Depository or such Clearing Corporation), or (b) otherwise in accordance with an Instruction, Applicable Law, generally accepted trade practices, or the terms of the instrument representing such Investment.

  • Treatment of Investments 1. Each Contracting Party shall admit in its territory investments on a basis no less favourable than that accorded in like circumstances to investments of investors of any third State, within the framework of its laws and regulations.

  • Investments, Loans The Borrower will not, and will not permit any of its Subsidiaries to, purchase, hold or acquire (including pursuant to any merger with any Person that was not a wholly owned Subsidiary prior to such merger) any Capital Stock, evidence of Indebtedness or other securities (including any option, warrant, or other right to acquire any of the foregoing) of, make or permit to exist any loans or advances to, Guarantee any obligations of, or make or permit to exist any investment or any other interest in, any other Person (all of the foregoing being collectively called “Investments”), or purchase or otherwise acquire (in one transaction or a series of transactions) any assets of any other Person that constitute a business unit, or create or form any Subsidiary, except:

  • Promotion of Investments 1. Each Contracting Party shall promote investments in its territory by investors of the other Contracting Party and shall accept such investments in accordance with its legislation.

  • Registration of Investments Domestic investments held by the Custodian (other than bearer securities) shall be registered in the name of the Fund or in the name of any nominee of the Fund or of any nominee of the Custodian which nominee shall be assigned exclusively to the Fund, unless the Fund has authorized in writing the appointment of a nominee to be used in common with other registered investment companies having the same investment adviser as the Fund, or in the name or nominee name of any agent appointed pursuant to Section 2.8 or in the name or nominee name of any sub- custodian appointed pursuant to Section 1. All securities accepted by the Custodian on behalf of the Fund under the terms of this Agreement shall be in good deliverable form. If, however, the Fund directs the Custodian to maintain securities in “street name”, the Custodian shall utilize its best efforts only to timely collect income due the Fund on such securities and to notify the Fund of relevant corporate actions including, without limitation, pendency of calls, maturities, tender or exchange offers.

  • Loans, Advances and Investments Make or permit to remain outstanding any loan or advance to, or own, purchase or acquire any stock, obligations or securities of, or any other interest in, or make any capital contribution to, any Person, or consummate any Acquisition, except that the Company or any Subsidiary may

  • Speculative Nature of Investment The Investor understands and acknowledges that its investment in the Company is highly speculative and involves substantial risks. The Investor can bear the economic risk of its investment and is able, without impairing its financial condition, to hold the Securities for an indefinite period of time and to suffer a complete loss of its investment.

  • Loans, Advances, Investments, Etc Make or commit or agree to make, or permit any of its Subsidiaries make or commit or agree to make, any Investment in any other Person except for Permitted Investments.
