Travel in connection with illness and death. If a close relative becomes seriously ill or dies the employer reimburse a cost the equivalent of a return trip to Sweden for one person from the family. If the employee or an accompanying family member (Paragraph 2) becomes seriously ill or is involved in an accident, a physician who is accredited by the employer takes a decision as to whether the patient should be moved to Sweden or another country in order to receive suitable treatment. The employer will pay the costs for such a trip. If the employee or an accompanying family member (Paragraph 2) dies in the overseas coun- try, the employer reimburses the cost of home transport of the deceased. In this case the em- ployer will also finance the cost of travel home for the family of the deceased. The compensa- tion may also cover children who are residing in a third country in relation to their schooling and for which the employer provides compensation for school fees. Comments on Section 4 d Travel in connection with illness and death Guidelines in this section only apply if costs are not covered by URA insurance or in some other manner.

  • Interaction with Other Leave Entitlements (a) An employee proceeding on unpaid Maternity Leave may elect to substitute any part of that leave with accrued annual and/or accrued long service leave.

  • Interaction with Other Leaves Paid parental leave will run concurrently with any unpaid leave(s) that parents may be entitled to under other provisions of this Agreement or provided by law. Employees shall not receive other types of paid leave provided by this Agreement (e.g., sick, vacation, compensatory time) for hours for which they are receiving PPL.

  • Personal Illness and Injury Leave 1. Full-time employees shall be entitled to ten (10) days leave with full-time pay for each school year for purposes of personal illness or injury. Employees who work less than full-time shall be entitled to that portion of the ten (10) days leave as the number of hours per week of scheduled duty relates to the number of hours for a full-time employee in a comparable position.

  • Integration with Other Disability Income In the event a totally disabled employee is entitled to any other income as a result of the same accident, sickness, mental or nervous disorder that caused him/her to be eligible to receive benefits from this Plan, the benefits from this Plan will be reduced by one hundred percent (100%) of such other disability income. Other disability income shall include, but not necessarily be limited to:

  • Disability Leave with Pay (A) An employee who sustains a job-related disability and is eligible for disability leave with pay under the provisions of Rule 60L-34, Florida Administrative Code, shall be carried in full-pay status for up to 40 work hours immediately following the onset of the injury without being required to use accrued leave.

  • SHORT-TERM ILLNESS AND INJURY AND LONG-TERM DISABILITY Employees shall be entitled to coverage for short term illness and injury and long term disability in accordance with agreed upon regulations which will be subject to review and revision during the period of this Agreement by negotiations between the Parties and included as Appendix A to this Agreement.

  • ILLNESS AND DISABILITY 8.0 At the beginning of each school year each teacher shall be credited with ten (10) days of leave, the unused portion of which shall accumulate from year to year to one hundred fifty-five (155) days pro-rated based on the teacher’s regularly scheduled work day/week. The leave days may be taken by a teacher for the following reasons and subject to the following conditions:

  • Group Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (a) The Employer will pay 100% of the premiums for the group life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance plans.

  • Personal Leave With Pay With prior notification, full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use a maximum of six (6) days personal leave with pay per year, provided that such days shall be charged against the employee’s current accrued sick leave. This leave is non-cumulative.

  • Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment The Board shall provide without cost to the employee’s life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance in the amount of $35,000.
