Training; Protective Gear. Customer shall ensure that within thirty days of engaging in activities within the Space that its employees assigned to work in the Space have completed at a minimum the following EH&S core lab classes: Laboratory Safety: Core Concepts; Emergency Response Guide Video; and Fire Safety and Extinguisher Training (xxxx://xxx.xxx.xxxxxxx.xxx/publications/handouts/labcurriculum.pdf). Any additional required training is set forth in Attachment A. Customer shall arrange such training with EH&S and pay any applicable charges. Customer may substitute training obtained from other providers only upon written approval from EH&S. Customer shall provide all required protective gear for its employees assigned to work in the Space unless the parties state otherwise in Exhibit A.

  • Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment The Government considers operators as fireline personnel who will use and wear specified articles of personal protective equipment.

  • Personal Protective Clothing 11.1 On commencement of employment with the Employer each employee will be issued with the following; • Two pairs of overalls or agreed alternative such as two shirts and two pairs of pants or jeans. • One pair of approved safety boots to the value of $75.00 increasing to a value of $80.00 from 1 July 2006, increasing to a value of $85.00 from 1 July 2009. • One bluey jacket or agreed equivalent (May to October). Nylon jackets and those with metal zips shall not be acceptable. • Any other safety equipment deemed necessary for the safe conduct of work.

  • Personal Protective Equipment 64.1 While not being part of any issue of work clothing/equipment supplied (see clause 26), the Employer shall be required to provide personal protective equipment (SAA approved) for use, when necessary for the Employee to perform their required duties including:

  • Training Leave An employee appointed or elected as an accredited representative of the union shall, upon application in writing to the employer, be granted up to 5 days leave with pay each calendar year (non-cumulative) to attend appropriate courses: • Such courses shall be designed and structured with the objective of promoting good industrial relations within the building and construction industry. • Consultation may take place between the parties in the furtherance of this objective Accredited representative of the union shall mean a job xxxxxxx recognised by the employer. No. of days per year Up to l5 1 5 31-50 3 15 51-100 4 20 101 and over 5 25 The application for leave shall be given to the employer at least 6 weeks in advance of the commencement of the course. The application shall contain the following details: • The name of the employee seeking leave • The period of time for which the leave is sought (including dates and daily commencing and finishing times) and • The title, general description and structure of the course to be attended and the location of where the course is to be conducted. The employer shall advise the union within seven clear working days (Monday to Friday) of receiving the application as to whether or not the application for leave has been approved. The time of taking leave shall be arranged so as to minimise any adverse effect on the employer’s operations. The onus shall rest with the employer to demonstrate an inability to grant leave when an eligible employee is otherwise entitled. An employer shall not be liable for any additional expenses associated with an employee’s attendance at a course, other than the payment of ordinary time earnings for such absence. For the purposes of this clause ordinary time earnings shall be defined as the relevant award classification rate, shift work loadings plus over-award payments. Leave rights granted in accordance with this clause will not result in additional payment for alternative time off to the extent that the course coincides with an employee’s day off in the 19 day month work cycle. An employee on request by their employer shall provide proof of their attendance at any course within 7 days. If an employee fails to provide such proof the employer may deduct any amount already paid for attendance from the week’s pay or any monies due to the employee. Where an employee is sick during a period when leave under this provision has been granted proof of attendance at the course is not required for that period and the employee shall receive payment in accordance with personal leave provisions. Leave of absence granted in accordance with this clause shall count for all purposes of employment.

  • Protective Protocols Either Party may use protective network traffic management controls such as 7-digit and 10-digit code gaps on traffic toward each other’s network, when required to protect the public switched network from congestion due to facility failures, switch congestion or failure or focused overload.   • Protective Clothing and Equipment The Employer recognizes the safety concerns of all staff and shall provide all employees whose work requires them to wear protective equipment with the necessary equipment and protective clothing. This committee may make recommendations on such equipment (e.g., gloves, long sleeved gowns, masks, goggles). These shall be maintained and replaced, where necessary, at the Employer's expense. Where the committee recommends the wearing of such protective clothing and equipment, and the Employer implements such recommendation, employees are obligated to comply with such recommendation(s).

  • System Protection To prevent compromise of systems which contain DSHS Data or through which that Data passes:

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction.
