Topographic Survey of Bridge and Retaining Sample Clauses

Topographic Survey of Bridge and Retaining. Wall Sites: Detailed topographic survey maps and cross−sections will be required at the three bridge crossings and potentially where retaining walls are required or significant grading or drainage improvements are recommended. We have already prepared a topographic survey and cross sections of two of the three bridge crossings as part of our 2017 bridge feasibility study. We will update and revise the topographic map at these two sites to add tree locations and as needed to address any changes that may have occurred since our original survey. We will prepare an additional topographic survey and cross−sections at the third bridge site. The limits of the mapping will be sufficient to include the anticipated limits of disturbance associated with crossing improvements and approach trail construction. Topographic surveys may also be required in areas where retaining walls are proposed. However, it has been our experience that because most trail retaining walls are relatively small (typically less than 2 feet in height) a detailed topographic survey is generally not required or needed. At a minimum we will stake the location of proposed retaining walls and prepare representative cross−sections. The topographic survey maps will be prepared at a scale of 1:120 (1”=10 feet) with 1 foot minimum contour interval. These maps will accurately depict the top and bottom of stream channel banks, direction of stream flow, slide features, trees and vegetation, pre and post construction contours, area of ground disturbance, and other pertinent features. We will establish a network of permanent survey control points in the vicinity of the proposed work. Control points will be established outside of the proposed work areas to ensure they’re retained for future use during construction staking, as−built mapping, and post construction monitoring, if required. Deliverables: ▪ Base Map. ▪ Topographic Survey Maps and cross−sections ▪ Memo summarizing any changes in trail alignment from what we originally proposed in our 2015 report
