TOPOGRAPHIC DATA COLLECTION Sample Clauses

TOPOGRAPHIC DATA COLLECTION. An aerial topographic survey will be conducted and presented at a planimetric scale of 1-inch = 40-feet, and a 1-foot contour interval for each of the shared-use / protected path segments included with the Project. Limits of the aerial topographic survey will extend longitudinally approximately 300-ft beyond each end of each shared-use / protected path segment and will extend approximately 50-ft laterally beyond the ROW limits. The planimetric aerial mapping will be prepared in conformance with National Map Accuracy Standards. Horizontal and vertical aerial control panels will be set to meet aerial triangulation requirements. Consultant shall supplement the aerial topographic map by performing an “as-needed” field survey to accurately locate surface features such as edge of pavement, berms, curbs, fences, walls, trees (greater than 3-inches or greater at breast height in landscaped or wooded areas), driveways, ramps, mailboxes, or other features within the shared-use / protected path Project areas. The supplemental field survey will locate surface utilities such as meters, valves, fire hydrants, power-poles, vaults, transformers, traffic signals, streetlights, manholes, storm drain culverts, or other surface utility. The supplemental field survey will include collection of cross-sections at 50-foot intervals in the shared-use / protected path Project areas and the Isolated Accessibility Enhancement route segments. Cross-sections will also be collected at existing driveway and intersection locations (as applicable). Cross-sections will include collection of field shots at street centerline/crown, painted edge-lines (as applicable), edge-of-pavement, top-of-berm and/or top-of-curb, gutter flowline, back of sidewalk, ROW, and at other observed change in grade (as applicable) within the existing ROW. Consultant shall collect and tie topographic data of man-made and/or natural features using a variety of City approved methods. These methods include but are not limited to collecting the data using terrestrial (Total Station), GNSS (RTK), 3D Laser Scanning (Mobile or Static), or station and offset. Consultant shall contact Oregon Utility Notification Center to request pre-survey utility locates and will keep the locate request number and ticket information within the Project file. Consultant shall record in the field notes the utility ownership, if available, when describing the line data points. Consultant shall record all visible utility identifications in the ...
