Tool Safety. All construction heavy equipment (i.e. forklifts, scissor lifts, cranes, etc.) and tools shall be inspected every morning prior to use by the operators. Any type of damage will be reported and repaired PRIOR to use each day. Each competent tool room person will inspect all tools each day and report or repair any damages. All heavy machinery will be inspected and repaired by a competent person. Inspection sheets will be turned in daily to the Site Safety Professional for review. These will be kept on file for the duration of the project.
Tool Safety. I will not use tools until a mentor has taught me the safe way to operate them and has checked my tool use practices. I understand that all tools can be dangerous if improperly used and know that play around them can cause serious injury to me or to others and will result in my suspension from the team.

Where such alternative is not available and until the unsafe conditions are rectified, the employee shall remain on site. The employee shall be paid for such time without reduction of the employees’ inclement weather entitlement.
