Common use of Structure of Committee Clause in Contracts

Structure of Committee. 1.1 The Joint Health and Safety Committees (referred to hereafter as “the Joint Committee”), shall consist of members selected by the Employer and members selected by the Bargaining Unit. Alternates may be allowed, however they shall only be used in absences of the member and with the approval of the Co- Chairpersons. Each party will supply a listing of one (1) alternate for each Committee member.

Worker members shall be selected by the Employer and members selected workers, or, if there is a Trade Union representing the workers, by the Bargaining UnitTrade Union. Alternates may be are allowed, however they shall only be used in absences of the member emergency conditions and with by the approval of the Co- ChairpersonsCo-chairpersons. Each party will supply a listing of one (1) alternate for each Committee memberfour alternates.
