STATUS AND TERM. A. Pursuant to ANAHEIM Municipal Code section 1.05.030.0107, XXXXXXXX shall be an at-will employee of ANAHEIM and shall serve for an indefinite term at the pleasure of the City Manager. Nothing contained in this Agreement shall prevent, limit or otherwise interfere with the right of the City Manager to terminate the employment of XXXXXXXX at any time, subject only to the provisions set forth in this Agreement.

Employee agrees to remain in the exclusive employ of City and shall neither accept other employment nor become employed by any other City without the prior written approval of the Mayor and/or the City Administrator. The term "employed" and derivations of that term as used in the preceding sentence shall include employment by another legal entity or self-employment, but shall not be construed to include occasional teaching, writing, or consulting performed on Employee's own time, and with the advance approval of the City Manager.
