Common use of SICKNESS AND ACCIDENT PLAN Clause in Contracts

SICKNESS AND ACCIDENT PLAN. Those employees with less than ten (10) years service will be treated according to the 8-8 rule. For the first day of sickness, all shall receive the equivalent of four (4) hours paid. If an employee works more than six (6) hours, he/she shall be paid for those hours worked and that day will not be treated as a day of absence. If an employee works less than six (6) hours and must leave due to sickness and/or accident, he/she will be paid for those hours worked and that day will be treated as a day of absence. If an employee works less than four (4) hours and must leave due to accident and/or sickness, he/she shall be paid the equivalent of four (4) hours worked.
