Sick Leave During Vacation. In the event an employee is ill or entitled to bereavement leave during vacation leave, the Employer will charge the amount of time the employee was ill and the period of recovery to the employee’s sick leave credits and will reinstate the employee’s vacation leave credits accordingly. The period of vacation shall, by mutual agreement between the employee and the Employer, be either added to the vacation period or reinstated for use at a later date. Satisfactory substantiation of illness and the period of recovery must be provided to the Employer in order for the vacation period to be adjusted.
