Seniority Layoff - Recall. A. All newly hired employees will be considered to be in a probationary status for a period of forty-two (42) working days. At the discretion of the Superintendent, a probation period may be extended a maximum of twenty-one (21) working days. An employee successfully completing probation shall have a seniority date effective with the date of hire. The extension of a probationary period is not subject to the Grievance Procedures. The probationary period for Bus Drivers as per Appendix A.
