Seniority Accrual For Regular Employees When Absent From Work. (i) Except as expressly provided otherwise by this Agreement, seniority shall continue to accrue for any Regular Employee who is absent from work due to rest days; Statutory Holidays or days in lieu; vacation; any duly approved or otherwise authorized leave of absence, whether paid or unpaid, under this Agreement including, but not limited to, with respect to illness, injury, disability or other medical condition or Workers' Compensation; or any other approved time off work pursuant to this Agreement, for the duration of any such absence from work, providing that the absence does not exceed one (1) continuous year, that is, three hundred sixty-five consecutive calendar days, adding one (1) additional day in the case of a “leap year”, calculated from and including the start date of the absence, subject to the provisions of Clause 16.03(b) below.

Seniority shall also continue to accrue for the duration of the recall period prescribed by Clause 30.05 of this Agreement.
