Return to Work - Physician's Statement. When an employee has been cleared to return to work by his/her physician, the employee will provide a copy of the physician's statement to his/her supervisor and a copy to the business office. People returning from a non-work-related injury/illness are expected to resume performing all of their assigned duties. The employer may require a physician’s statement for absences in excess of three (3) consecutive sick days. The employer may require, at the employer’s expense, a returning employee to be examined by the employer’s physician in order to determine the employee’s capability to return to work.
