Common use of Re-Employment Pool Clause in Contracts

Re-Employment Pool. A. All certificated employees who are not retained in accordance with these procedures shall be laid off from employment and placed in a re-employment pool for possible re-employment for a period of up to twenty-four (24) months after the expiration of the employee’s current contract. Re-employment pool personnel will be offered open positions within the categories or specialties identified in Section 4 for which they are qualified under 3.4.2(C). It is the intention, when possible, to place returning RIFfed employees to their previous position. If more than one such employee is qualified for an open position, the criteria set forth in paragraph 3.4.2(E) shall be applied in reverse order to determine who shall be offered such position.
