Promulgation of New or Revised Rules. New or revised rules, regulations, policies and procedures (rules) may be established from time to time. Except in an emergency, the District agrees, where practical to notify the Union in advance of promulgating or implementing any new or revised District rules. Where practical notice shall be afforded at least seven calendar days in advance of the proposed effective date of the proposed change to allow the Union a fair opportunity to review and offer effective input as to the proposed change.

Promulgation of New or Revised Rules. The Village agrees to notify the Union in advance of promulgating or implementing any new or revised Village ordinances, rules and regulations, or Board of Fire Commissioners rules and regulations which constitute mandatory subjects of bargaining within the meaning of the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act. Such notice shall be afforded sufficiently in advance of the purposed effective date of the proposed change to allow the Union a fair opportunity to review and offer effective input as to the proposed change.
Promulgation of New or Revised Rules. ‌ The Fire Department agrees to notify the Union in advance of promulgating or implementing any new or revised rules and regulations or Board of Police and Fire Commissioners rules and regulations which constitute mandatory subjects of bargaining within the meaning of the Illinois Public Relations Act. Such notice shall be afforded sufficiently in advance of the purpose and effective date of the proposed change (and at least ten (10) calendar days) to allow the Union a fair opportunity to review and offer effective input as to the proposed change.

  • No Rule of Strict Construction Regardless of which party may have drafted this Agreement, no rule of strict construction shall be applied against either party. If any provision of this Agreement is determined by a court to be unenforceable, the parties shall deem the provision to be modified to the extent necessary to allow it to be enforced to the extent permitted by law, or if it cannot be modified, the provision will be severed and deleted from this Agreement, and the remainder of this Agreement will continue in effect.

Any provisions of this Agreement found to be in violation of any such laws, rules, regulation directives or orders shall be null and void and without force and effect.
