Payment of Accrued Sick Leave at Death. The City will pay upon the death of an active employee an amount equal to 50% of all accrued and unused sick leave pay up to a maximum of $15,000.00. Payment shall be made promptly, if funds are available, but not later than one month after the final adoption of the budget of the City for the year succeeding the effective date of death of the employee.
