Paid President and Council member. An employee who holds the position of full-time president or Council member with the Union shall be granted a leave of absence without pay for the period during which the employee holds the position. Such leave will not affect the employee's seniority, increment anniversary date, service for the purpose of vacation leave, sick leave, and special leave accumulation. The Employer will continue to pay premiums for medical, dental, extended health, group life, and LTD for the first three (3) months of the leave and BCNU will reimburse the Employer for the costs of such benefits. It is further agreed that in the event the employee becomes disabled during this three (3) month period and is not covered by paid sick leave, the employee shall continue to be covered on the Employer's LTD Plan providing the Employer is reimbursed by the Union for the cost of this benefit. The employee shall be entitled to return to the employee's former position with the Employer, and shall be provided with an adequate period of orientation upon return to work. The employee shall not be subject to discipline by the Employer for activities related to work on behalf of the Union.

  • Chairman An individual (who need not be a Registered Warrantholder) designated in writing by the Warrant Agent shall be chairman of the meeting and if no individual is so designated, or if the individual so designated is not present within fifteen minutes from the time fixed for the holding of the meeting, the Registered Warrantholders present in person or by proxy shall choose an individual present to be chairman.

  • Local Professional Development Committee 1. The Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) shall be established to oversee and review professional development plans pursuant to ORC 3319.22.

  • Union Officers and Committee Members Union Officers and Committee Members shall be entitled to leave their work during working hours in order to carry out their functions under this Agreement, including, but not limited to, the investigation and processing of grievances, attendance at meetings with the Employer, participation in negotiations and arbitration. Permission to leave work during working hours for such purposes shall first be obtained from the immediate supervisor. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. All time spent in performing such Union duties, including work performed on various committees, as referred to in this Agreement, shall be considered as time worked.

  • Governing Board 1. The Centre shall be guided and overseen by a Governing Board renewed every 3 years and include:

  • College President The "College President" is the Chief Executive Officer of the College.

  • Chairman and Secretary The Local Union shall select the Union representatives and the Chapter shall select the management representatives.

  • Professional Development Committee There shall be a Professional Development Committee composed of at least two (2) representatives of the Association and an equal number of representatives from the Hospital. Each party may have alternates to replace a member from time to time.
