Paid Leave of Duty for Medical Attention. When an employee requires medical attention due to a work-related injury/illness that occurred that day, he/she will be relieved from duty without loss of pay for the portion of his/her shift during which medical treatment is being sought. The employee is required to return to work if able to do so after medical attention is received. Any additional absences from duty due to the injury/illness will be compensated only to the extent provided by the with workers’ compensation laws and Section 4.14.3 of this Agreement.
