  • Leaves With Pay Section 1. An employee shall be granted leave with pay for service with a jury. The employee may keep any money paid by the court for serving on a jury. The Agency reserves the right to petition for removal of the employee from jury duty if, in the Agency’s judgment, the operating requirements of the Agency would be hampered.

  • Other Leave with Pay The Employer may grant leave with pay for purposes other than those specified in this Agreement, including military or civil defence training, and emergencies affecting the community or place of work.

  • HOLIDAYS WITH PAY Employees shall be entitled to holidays with pay in accordance with the provisions of this article.

  • Leave of Absence With Pay 1. A leave with pay will be granted when an employee serves on a jury or is subpoenaed as a witness in court.   • Approved Leave of Absence With Pay During Vacation When an employee is qualified for bereavement leave, sick leave or any other approved leave with pay during her vacation period, there shall be no deduction from the vacation credits for such leave. In the case of sick leave, this section shall only apply when the period of illness or injury is in excess of two (2) days and a note from a physician may be required. The period of vacation so displaced shall be taken at a mutually agreed time. An employee intending to claim displaced vacation leave must advise the Employer and provide necessary documentation within seven (7) days of returning to work.

  • Entitlement to Vacation Leave With Pay An employee is entitled to vacation leave with pay to the extent of his earned credits but an employee who has completed six (6) months of continuous employment may receive an advance of credits equivalent to the anticipated credits for the vacation year.

  • Personal Leave With Pay With prior notification, full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use a maximum of six (6) days personal leave with pay per year, provided that such days shall be charged against the employee’s current accrued sick leave. This leave is non-cumulative.

  • Injury-on-duty Leave With Pay An employee shall be granted injury-on-duty leave with pay for such reasonable period as may be determined by the Employer when a claim has been made pursuant to the Government Employees Compensation Act, and a Worker's Compensation authority has notified the Employer that it has certified that the employee is unable to work because of:
