Notification by Appointing Authority. When an employee reports a job related injury or illness, the Power Systems Manager shall notify the General Manager by promptly completing the appropriate industrial injury report forms and delivering them within twenty-four (24) hours of knowledge of its occurrence, in accordance with the reporting procedures promulgated by the Payroll Department. Thereafter, the Power Systems Manager shall provide such other information as may be requested by the Payroll Department in connection with said injury.

  • Appointing Authority If the grievance is not settled under Step 1, it may be formally submitted to the appointing authority. The grievance shall be submitted within seven (7) days after receipt of the written decision from Step 2 or the verbal decision of Step 1, whichever applies. Within seven (7) days after receipt of the written grievance, the appointing authority or designated representative shall meet with the employee. Within seven (7) days thereafter, a written decision shall be delivered to the employee.
