Notice of Intention to Return (Leaves With or With Out Pay. Between February 1 and February 15 of the calendar year in which a leave of absence is to expire, the Superintendent or designee will notify each teacher on leave by certified mail to the last address on record in the Superintendent's office of his/her obligation to notify the School Department of his/her intention to return. Thereafter, the teacher must notify the Superintendent, in writing, by March 1 or within ten (10) days of proof of delivery, whichever is later, of the teacher's intention to return in September. Failure to provide such notice to the Superintendent shall be deemed a resignation from the school system.
