Medical and First Aid Facilities. 51.2.1 The Principal will make available its medical and first aid facilities for the treatment of Lihir Gold Limited Contract No LGL-MO-0107 Provision of Geothermal Coring Services Part II: Annexure A — Special Conditions employees of the Contractor who may be injured or become ill while engaged in the performance of the work under the Contract. If medical and first aid facilities are made available to the Contractor’s employees then, in consideration for the use of such facilities and the receipt of such services, the Contractor hereby agrees that: It will release, defend, indemnify and save harmless the Principal and its contractors, authorised representatives, officers and employees from and against any and all claims, demands or liabilities arising from the receipt of such services by the Contractor’s employees or the use of such facilities by the Contractor’s employees, except for claims and demands arising out of the active gross negligence of the Principal, its contractors or authorised representatives, officers and employees. In the event that any of the Contractor’s employees is transported to a physician or hospital by means of vehicles or aircraft ambulance service, the Contractor will promptly pay for such service directly to the provider of the service, and subsequently invoice the Principal; Should any of the Contractor’s employees require the services of a physician or hospital, the Contractor will promptly pay all charges therefore directly to the physician or hospital, and subsequently invoice the Principal. 51.2.2 The Contractor shall provide and maintain basic first-aid kits on Site at all areas of active operations.
