Long-Term Layoff - More Than Twenty. Eight (28) Working Days In the event of a long-term layoff, affected employees shall have the right to exercise their seniority to move into another department providing that they have the necessary qualifications and ability to perform the normal requirements of the job. Should they not have any of these pre-existing requirements then the Company shall provide the necessary training to these employees in order for them to meet such requirements. Any employees refusing the offered training would forfeit their seniority rights noted above and would be laid-off accordingly.

  • Long Term Care The City may offer an option for employees to purchase a new long-term care benefit for themselves and certain family members.

  • Long Term Leaves a. A unit member may be granted a leave of absence, with or without pay, by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Superintendent or designee for a period not to exceed one (1) year when such action is not contrary to the best interests of the District.

Leave of absence for Local Coordinators for the Ontario Nurses' Association will be separate from the Union leave provided in (a) above.

The maximum experience credit shall be based on the guidelines set forth in Article VIII, Section 1, Subd. 1. This provision is not retroactive.
