Leave for Writing Examinations Leave of absence with pay shall be granted to allow employees time to write examinations for courses approved by the Employer. Employees shall advise the Employer of the time and place of the examination when they are made aware of the time and place.
Determination of Service for Sick Leave with Pay Actual time worked and all leave with pay, except for educational leave, shall be included in determining the pro rata accrual of sick leave credits each month, provided that the employee works thirty-two (32) hours or more in that month.
Change in Classification A change in classification shall not alter a nurse’s accrued seniority for purposes of accrual of benefits or placement in the wage schedule.
Leave for Storm Or Hazardous Conditions It is the responsibility of the Nurse to make every reasonable effort to arrive at their work location as scheduled, however, during storm conditions, when such arrival is impossible, or delayed, all absent time will be deemed to be leave, and the Nurse has the option to:
Applicable for Home Care Nurses: In the event that the Employer transfers the delivery of Home Care services to another employer, the Employer shall notify the Union in writing at least ninety (90) days in advance of any transfer of services. The notification to the Union shall identify which services are being transferred, the name of the employer to which the services are being transferred and the names of the nurses within the bargaining unit affected by the transfer of services. At the request of either party, the parties shall meet to discuss the impact of the transfer.
FOOD LOSS To receive coverage for food loss resulting from the failure of the covered refrigerator or freezer, the failure of Your refrigerator or freezer must be due to a defect in the components of the appliance, and not a power failure of any kind. You will be reimbursed up to two hundred dollars ($200) once during the coverage period. To receive payment, You must have the appliance repaired by a service center authorized by the Administrator and submit the following: a copy of the repair order, and itemized list of perishable food lost due to the lack of refrigeration, and proof of purchase for the replaced food.
