Layoff – Return Order. In reducing employees, the Employer shall do so in reverse order of seniority except that special capabilities may be considered for positions requiring special skills. Vacancies or new positions shall be filled in order of seniority except that special capabilities may be considered for positions requiring special skills. Employees will be given two (2) calendar weeksnotice of layoff. Employees who are laid off shall have recall rights for up to six (6) months from the effective date of layoff. Employees shall be notified of recall by telephone and/or certified mail. They shall respond within ten (10) calendar days from date of notification. It is the employee’s responsibility to notify the Employer of any change of address or telephone number.
