Common use of Jury Duty or Crown Witness Clause in Contracts

Jury Duty or Crown Witness. Should a Team Member be called for jury duty or selection or subpoenaed as a Crown witness in a criminal proceeding, the Company will supplement his/her jury or witness pay to ensure that the Team Member will receive the total monies equivalent to the lost straight time regularly scheduled hours for those days he/she would have actually been at work during his/her service on a jury or as a Crown witness. In calculating the jury duty pay or witness fee, any travelling allowances or out of pocket expenses that have been paid to a Team Member by the Court shall not be included. In order for a Team Member to qualify for payment under this Article, he/she must:
