Independent or Directed Study. Student may earn credit for studying subjects outside of standard courses with the guidance of faculty. Independent study covers subjects that are not in the course catalog. Directed study covers courses that are in the catalog. In both cases, the burden of learning is on the student more than the teacher. But the faculty member is still responsible for monitor and assessing progress. If a member is asked by the Vice President to supervise an independent or directed study, the course profile is used to determine contact hours and an LHE conversion of 1/3rd is applied. If no course profile exists, then credit hours earned by the student will be used to determine contact hours following the standard definitions. With contact hours determined, the same LHE conversion will be used to determine load.

State shall not consider bids greater than the maximum value indicated below for this category. Standard Independent Review $25,000 Maximum Complex Independent Review $50,000 Maximum Per Vermont statute 3 V.S.A. 2222, The Secretary of Administration shall obtain independent expert review of any recommendation for any information technology initiated after July 1, 1996, as information technology activity is defined by subdivision (a) (10), when its total cost is $1,000,000 or greater or when required by the State Chief Information Officer. Documentation of this independent review shall be included when plans are submitted for review pursuant to subdivisions (a)(9) and (10) of this section.   • INDEPENDENT ACTION Except as otherwise described in the OP, any Party on its own initiative and without reimbursement may go upon lands protected by the other Party to suppress wildfires, if the fire is a threat to property within that Party's protection responsibility. In such instances, the Party taking action will promptly notify the Protecting Party. If either Party takes action on a fire independently, the Supporting Party will furnish the Protecting Party a preliminary report (oral) within 24 hours of the action taken and a written incident report with 10 days.

  • Behavioral Interventions Committee This committee develops and monitors procedures for using behavioral interventions in accordance with Board policy 7:230, Misconduct by Students with Disabilities, and provides information and recommendations to the Board.   • Professional Study Permanent unit members may apply for professional study leave by outlining in writing the plan that is to be followed and the institution to be attended.   • Negotiating Committee The Hospital agrees to recognize a Negotiating Committee comprised of representatives of the Association for the purpose of negotiating a renewal agreement. The number of nurses on the Negotiating Committee is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions. The Hospital agrees to pay members of the Negotiating Committee for time spent during regular working hours in negotiations with the Hospital for a renewal agreement up to, but not including, arbitration.
