Implementation of Work Training and/or Apprenticeship Programs. The Producers and the Union agree to cooperate in the establishment of work training and/or apprenticeship programs with respect to appropriately agreed-upon work classifications subject to this Agreement, in conformance with all applicable affirmative action programs and specifically including the classifications of work covered under this Agreement. A committee shall be convened for the purpose of formulating and implementing training programs.
Implementation of Work Training and/or Apprenticeship Programs. The Producers and the Union agree to cooperate in the establishment of work training and/or apprenticeship programs with respect to appropriately agreed-upon work classifications subject to this Agreement. Such work training and/or apprenticeship programs may be established and administered pursuant to the regulations promulgated by the State of California Department of Industrial Relations Division of Apprenticeship Standards or may be jointly administered under regulations to be established by the AMPTP and the Union. A committee shall be convened for the purpose of formulating and implementing training programs. The parties recognize that deductions from hourly contributions (in the amount of one cent (1¢) from contributions made at the rate of two and one-quarter cents (2¼¢) per hour and in the amount of one-third cent (⅓¢) from contributions made at the rate of three-quarters cents (¾¢) per hour) have been made under previous collective bargaining agreements for the purpose of providing training or other agreed-upon programs for the benefit of persons who suffer displacement as a result of the introduction and utilization of electronics technology. The parties agree that monies previously deducted from contributions made to the CSATF General Fund in order to fund such programs shall be earmarked for the purpose for which such monies were collected. The interest earned from investment of such monies shall be returned to the General Fund of CSATF and shall be used, as a first priority, for the purpose of providing and administering training programs established pursuant to this Agreement, the Videotape Agreement, the West Coast Studio Local Agreements and the Basic Crafts Agreements. The parties further agree that one cent (1¢) of contributions made at the rate of two and one- quarter cents (2¼¢) per hour and one-third cent (⅓¢) of contributions made at the rate of three-quarters cents (¾¢) per hour shall be used, as a first priority, for the purpose of providing and administering training programs established pursuant to this Agreement, the Videotape Agreement, the West Coast Studio Local Agreements and the Basic Crafts Agreements.
