Common use of Immediate Family Clause in Contracts

Immediate Family. In the event of a death of an employee’s immediate family member, the employee may take a leave of absence without loss of pay or leave credits for up to five scheduled workdays between date of the death and the day after the burial. For purposes of bereavement leave, “immediate family member” will mean the following: • Spouse or Domestic Partner • Child (including step & xxxxxx) • Parent or Legal Guardian
