Full-Time and Part-Time Transfers. The Employer may make temporary transfers from one Classification to another as business needs dictate. The senior available employee in a classification shall be the employee offered the transfer when the transfer involves a higher paying job. The transferred employee shall receive the higher rate for the entire day if he/she works the higher rate job in excess of four (4) hours. In the event the amount of work in the higher classification is less than four (4) hours, the transferred employee shall receive the higher rate for four (4) hours. The junior available employee in the classification shall be the employee transferred when the transfer involves an equal or lower paying job and he/she shall retain his/her regular rate. The movement of equipment within the Employer’s premises involving less than one hour’s work will not call for a higher rate of pay.

Although the actual hours of work may vary from week to week, with some weeks greater than 38 hours and other weeks less, the employee will not work in excess of 152 ordinary hours in any four week period.
