Fire Safety Employees. Fire Safety Employees in Division II, shall work a forty (40) hour week of four (4) ten (10) hour days in a seven (7) day period or at the Chief's discretion five (5) eight and one half (8½) hour days in a seven (7) day period with every other Friday scheduled off. Work schedules other than the above shall be subject to negotiations with the Union.

Required overtime within a project may first be assigned to qualified employees within the project by seniority. The process for assigning the overtime will follow the procedures outlined in this Article.

  • Employee Health and Safety A. When the University requires an employee to use or wear health or safety equipment, such equipment will be provided by the University.

  • Displaced Employees In the event of a reduction in the work force, regular employees shall be laid-off in reverse order of seniority, provided that there are available employees with greater seniority who are qualified and willing to do the work of the employees laid-off. An employee who is qualified and yet unwilling to do the work shall be laid-off.
