Excusable Absences for the Purpose of Calculating Overtime. Payable in a Pay Period All overtime hours per the work week will be payable if the scheduled straight time hours and overtime hours are worked as per the work week schedule, excluding excusable absences hours missed. If scheduled straight time hours are missed due to unexcused absences, the worker must work their straight time hours scheduled before overtime hours are earned. The employee will notify the employer prior to shift start time, to be accepted as an excusable absence when circumstances arise beyond the workers’ control.

  • Definition of Overtime Overtime means those hours worked in excess of normal hours of work as per Article 8.1 (Normal Work Week).

Contractor is solely liable for and must pay such required prevailing wage adjustments during the Contract term as required by law.

  • Weekly Overtime An Employee required to work in excess of forty (40) hours per week shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1 1/2) for the first eight (8) hours of work in excess of the forty (40) hours and double time thereafter.
