Employee Requests for Transfer. The parties agree that the following language will supersede any and all divisional or Corporate transfer policies:

Employee Requests for Transfer. The Company will maintain an environment in which engineers can make known their interest in transferring to other positions for which they are qualified to perform and which may satisfy their personal needs. A job posting and transfer process will be maintained which will allow engineers, without fear of reprisal, to make application for transfer and receive consideration as a candidate for open positions for which they are qualified. All engineers, including those involved in surpluses, shall have full access to the Company staffing process. The Company will provide the Union with a copy of the request for transfer procedure and any changes thereto.

  • Employee Requests To reduce the impact of a layoff, an employee may request a voluntary layoff, leave without pay, a reduction in compensation, reduction in hours of work, or movement to a funded, vacant exempt position for which the employee is qualified. If it is necessary to limit the number of employees who are on unpaid leave at the same time, the President, reporting Vice President, or designee, in consultation with the Associate Vice President for Human Resource Services and/or designee, will determine who will be granted a leave without pay and/or reduction in hours based upon business and staffing needs. The decision regarding whether to move an employee to a vacant exempt position is discretionary with the College.
