Duty-Free Lunch Period. A. Each teacher shall have a forty-five (45) minute duty-free lunch period each day. All staffing for educational programs and services is of primary importance. Appropriate attention will be given to providing the lunch period toward the middle of the day. The lunch period shall be a continuous forty-five (45) minutes except that academic teachers may be required by the Superintendent or designee to split the period in order to meet staffing needs provided that one (1) of the periods is no less than thirty (30) minutes.
