Other Deaths. The teacher make take one (1) day per death to attend the funeral of any person whose relationship warrants such attendance; the day shall be charged to the employee’s sick leave.
Other Deaths. The teacher may take one (1) sick leave day per death to attend the funeral of any personal friend or distant relative.
Other Deaths. The teacher may take one day per death up to a maximum of two days per year to attend the funeral of relatives not mentioned above or friends.
Other Deaths. Three (3) days per year, deducted from business leave may be used to attend the funeral of a close friend. Such usage shall be considered as “emergency” and shall not be withheld.
Other Deaths. The administrator may take a maximum of three (3) days Funeral leave to attend the funeral of persons whose relationship to the administrator warrants attendance, providing arrangements are made with the Superintendent.
Other Deaths. Each employee shall be granted one (1) working day per year to attend the funeral of any other person other than immediate family/relatives.

Other Deaths. Leave granted because of the death of someone other than an employee’s immediate family shall be assessed as annual leave. Such use of annual leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.
Other Deaths. One (1) day with pay shall be allowed and charged against sick leave for the employee to attend the funeral of any other person. If an employee has exhausted her sick leave, she shall be given one (1) day off without pay.
